How can I turn off app time limits on iPhone?

Accidentally set app limits on my iPhone and can’t figure out how to turn them off. Need help disabling the screen time restrictions completely or just for specific apps. Any advice would be great!

Oh man, app time limits on iPhones—been there. It’s like your phone suddenly becomes your mom telling you to stop scrolling TikTok. Anyway, here’s the fix:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Scroll to Screen Time.
  3. Tap App Limits.
  4. From here, you can see all the apps you limited and either tweak the time or just delete the limits altogether. Hit the red minus sign if you wanna ditch any of 'em.
  5. Still want to keep Screen Time but lose app limits for just a few apps? Go into Always Allowed under Screen Time, and add specific apps there. They’ll bypass limits.

If you’re just over restrictions entirely, look for Turn Off Screen Time (at the bottom of the Screen Time menu). Boom—no more limits, no judgmental screen reminders, nada.

Don’t even get me started if you’ve forgotten the Screen Time passcode, though… Trust me, that’s a whole different level of chaos. Hope this helps before you chuck your iPhone out of frustration.

Screen Time is either a blessing or a curse depending on your mood. If you’re over it, here’s what you do. To turn off app time limits specifically, you gotta navigate to Settings > Screen Time > App Limits and just swipe those limits into oblivion by tapping the red minus button. If you feel like it’s TOO restricting but still helpful for discipline, there’s an Always Allowed section under Screen Time where you can whitelist apps like Messages or YouTube so they’re untouchable.

Now, if Screen Time itself feels like it’s just micromanaging your life, scroll all the way down in Screen Time settings and select Turn Off Screen Time. No more guilt trips from your phone.

PS: @shizuka nailed it with their advice, but honestly, anything involving a forgotten Screen Time passcode is a nightmare I hope you don’t have to face. Apple will have you proving it’s your phone with receipts from three years ago.
