Can someone share insights on the Passion app?

I’m trying to learn more about the Passion app and how effective it is. I’ve seen a few reviews but I’m unsure if it’s reliable or worth the time. Could anyone provide their experience or advice about using it?

I tried the Passion app for a couple of weeks, and honestly? Meh. It’s fine. If you’re expecting life-changing results or miracles, you might be setting yourself up for disappointment. Some of the features seem decent—like it does a good job of helping you structure your goals around things you care about—but the UI can feel clunky and kind of uninspired. I don’t know, for something called ‘Passion,’ you’d think it would spark, like, more excitement or creativity.

Also, if you’re someone who needs consistency and reminders, the notifications are hit or miss. Sometimes it feels like it’s shouting, “Do your thing!” at me with no real depth, and other times, it’s dead silent when I actually needed the nudge. I think it depends on what type of person you are when it comes to motivation—a lot of this stuff overlaps with journaling or bucket list apps, but not necessarily in a way that makes it feel unique.

So, is it “worth it”? If you’re willing to put in the effort and you vibe with how it’s set up, it could work for you. Personally, I think there are better apps out there for productivity or self-improvement that don’t feel as—for lack of a better word—generic. Maybe try it for a month and see if you click with it before committing.

I gave the Passion app a go for about a month. Honestly, I’m kind of torn about it. It’s not terrible, but it’s not groundbreaking either. Like @himmelsjager said, the app is okay at helping you align goals with your passions—if you already have a solid idea of what you’re passionate about. If you’re in that “unsure, figuring myself out” phase, it’s less helpful. There’s this assumption that you’ve already got things locked down, which might frustrate some users.

The design? It’s functional but feels a bit bland, like something you’d use for work, not inspiration. And speaking of work, some of the goal-setting tools lean more toward productivity than actual passion (ironic, huh?). So if you were hoping for an app with a lot of personality or creative flair, keep expectations low.

The notifications bug me too. I get random nudges to ‘stay on track,’ but they don’t seem personalized or really insightful. If you’re the type of person who needs thoughtful reminders or motivating tips, you might find it…uninspiring.

Now, I will disagree slightly—personally, I don’t think it’s a total write-off. It has potential if you’re already kind of motivated and like experimenting with different tools. But is it better than some of the other options? Meh, I’m not convinced. For self-improvement, you might have better luck with apps like Fabulous or Habitica—or even just a notebook.

Final note: decent for structure, but not super engaging or groundbreaking. Try it if you’re curious, but temper the hype.
