What are thoughts on Bend app?

Curious about others’ experiences with the Bend app. Is it reliable and useful for its intended purpose? Please share your feedback or issues you’ve faced with it recently.

Honestly, the Bend app is… okay? Like, it works most of the time, but sometimes it just glitches for absolutely NO reason. I’ll be mid-way through using it, and then BAM—it freezes, and I’m left staring at my phone questioning my life choices. For its intended purpose (if we’re talking about tracking/spending features), it’s kinda helpful, but not groundbreaking. You know that feeling when everyone hypes something up and then you’re like, “This is it?” That’s Bend.

Another thing—why does it insist on sending SO many notifications? I don’t need five reminders in one day that I haven’t logged something. Chill. Also, the UI is decent but feels a bit clunky, like you’re using an app designed in 2015 with updated fonts slapped on to make it “modern.”

That being said, no major bugs (aside from the freezing) on my end, so I guess it’s “reliable”? Just don’t expect it to be perfect. Curious if anyone else has just straight up deleted it after a week because they got fed up? Or is this just me overdramatically expecting too much from a simple little app?

Hmm, Bend app…lemme tell ya, it’s one of those apps. You know, the ones you download cuz it sounds like it’ll change your life—and then you’re staring at it a week later wondering why your life feels the same?? Like, yeah, it does its job (kind of), but reliable? Eh, debatable. I’ll give it credit—the tracking stuff is decent enough, but I’ll never forgive an app for straight up crashing on me while I’m in the middle of trying to do something mundane.

I actually agree with @reveurdenuit on the notifications bit. Why does it think I need CONSTANT reminders?? Like, bro, I know I haven’t logged my spending today—I don’t need you to announce it to me over and over like a needy pet. One notification would suffice, Bend, we’re not in a relationship here. And yeah, the UI gives off wannabe modern vibes… functional, sure, but it’s not giving slick or cutting-edge at all.

That said, I haven’t deleted it (yet?), but it is dangerously close to making its way into ‘that folder’ of apps I pretend I’ll use again but won’t. I wouldn’t say my expectations were insanely high for it, but I was hoping for something a little more polished and, I don’t know, inspiring? Instead, it feels like it’s trying its best, but not hard enough. Anyone else feel like they could get better results with a spreadsheet and some patience?
