I’m considering using the Zangi App for communication but I’m unsure about its reliability and security features. Has anyone used it and can share their experience? I want to ensure my data stays safe.
I used Zangi for a while, mainly b/c I was looking for a lightweight app with solid privacy. It’s pretty secure – no data stored on servers, end-to-end encryption, and they promise no third-party access. BUT (and it’s a big but), their user base isn’t massive, so you might struggle to convince friends/family to switch if everyone’s married to WhatsApp or Signal.
Reliability-wise, it’s fine for messaging, but sometimes call quality can get a bit sketchy depending on your connection. One cool thing is their “low data usage” feature – super helpful if you’re on a weak Wi-Fi or desperate to save data.
That said, I still feel like Signal outshines it, tbh. Zangi is secure, sure, but you really have to trust their no-server-storage claim on face value since they’re a smaller operation. If you’re hardcore about privacy, it’s worth a shot, but personally, I wouldn’t fully rely on it as my daily app.

Honestly, I’m way too attached to Signal for its transparency and reliability, though I’ll admit Zangi feels lighter. If you’re testing it for privacy’s sake, go ahead, but if you’re all about smooth reliability and peace of mind, you might wanna keep shopping around. Just my 2 cents. Keep in mind what @boswandelaar mentioned too; they’ve got a point about trust and usage struggles.
